About the role

Our sales guys and girls are the driving force behind our continual success out in market. They work hard to identify new business opportunities and we rewarded them for their success. If you’re hungry for a sale and love to network, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as and make an impact across our Hosting, Data, Voice and Mobile lines of business!

As Business Development Manager, your focus will be on the acquisition of new customer business leading to increased commercial revenue across the Macquarie target market. You’ll proactively follow up on leads sourced via your own business development, warm leads from conferences, industry meet-ups, events, and marketing. 

About you

Business development is second nature to you. You love to network and nurture relationships to maximise opportunities and are experienced selling within a corporate technology environment. 

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

  • Proven performance in a new business development position and ability to successfully manage a sales pipeline
  • Experience identifying and generating sales leads through multiple channels (face-to-face, telephone, email or webchat)
  • A record of building successful client relationships and selling into a B2B organisation
  • Professional & consultative sales approach
  • Highly motivated, focused and disciplined self-starter
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
