We’re looking for an ambitious Sales Expert to join our growing team, a person who will contribute to our success story in Canberra. We are the Australian specialists in cloud services for government. Forty two percent of Australian government agencies use and trust us.


The role.

As a Sales Expert you will identify, develop and sign new customers to Macquarie Government Services. You will develop strong lasting relationships with your clients and change the conversation with our existing clients. You will be supported by a passionate, experienced and talented team of; consultants, architects and engineers.

You know cloud or private infrastructure inside and out and you’ve got a deep understanding of technology and infrastructure along with a desire and passion to learn and grow in this exciting, dynamic space.

You've learned that you can deliver results through getting the basics right each time and by always creating value for clients, service and best outcomes is in your DNA. We highlight this because it's particularly important in our environment, not only do we deploy and consult on technology but we also support it. Our clients are with us for a really long time, because we get the little things right and work together as a team.


About you.

You are competitive, driven, energetic and comfortable contributing to and being an integral part of a high performing sales team.

You are confident and articulate, and you have the desire and passion to succeed in a fast moving, exciting market.

We’re looking for some things that we know will help you be successful:

  • You are a great communicator, capable and comfortable with of C level conversations and presentations. You have a natural flair for engaging with people, whether they be prospects, clients or members of your team. Our customers and your colleagues want to work with you.

  • At least 5 years’ direct IT experience in government or cloud sales experience in the corporate/government market (time on the tools is important, but your results speak loudest, so read on.)

  • An outstanding track record of overachievement against quota in a government or corporate sales environment

  • Proven ability in building successful business cases around complex solutions for executive level managers e.g. CFO, CIO, CEO

  • Proven track record of going from zero to revenue

  • Proven track record that you can start, build and maintain customer relationships

  • Proactive and self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team to get the right solution for clients

  • Formal training in Sales Methodology (ie Miller Heiman, TAS, SPIN, Challenger or other)
