The Marketing Manager/ Guru is responsible for generating Marketing Qualified Leads for the Sales team to amplify by creating general market awareness, driving industry thought leadership and executing direct marketing campaigns to Federal Government Agencies and the existing Macquarie Government base.
This position is critical to expanding the demand generation pipeline and accelerating Macquarie Government’s sales and revenue growth. It will execute on the vertical strategy established by the Macquarie Government Management Team.
This role is responsible for generating quality content for BLOGs, brochures, datasheets, whitepapers, webpages, and website landing pages. The candidate has excellent communication skills in interpreting technical content to develop key customer messages, UVPs, presentation slide decks, banners and vendor events.
The Marketing Manager - will develop programs to attract new customer by utilising a mix of Digital, Social and Traditional Marketing tactics such as Sponsorship events. Demand generation targeted campaigns aligned to market segmentation, use case, and industry vertical and trigger events leveraging - direct marketing, email, online/digital marketing, lead nurturing, sponsorships, PR and event-based campaigns, development of case studies, managing internal (e.g. CIO breakfast) and external events (e.g. speaking slots).
Post graduate preferable
6 years + demand generation and marketing management experience
Some people management experience preferred
Previous experience developing, executing and managing the responsibilities listed above in previous section with specific experience in the IT B2B industry
Extensive experience with resource planning, budgeting and marketing performance measurement
Experience with some form of Marketing Automation Tools (Marketo Preferred) and CRM Tools (SF.com preferred)
Experience in developing digital marketing plans and solutions for various business and marketing needs
Experience in Website Management
Ideally (not mandatory) experience in the security and or cloud/ hosting business
Ideally (not mandatory) experience in the government space and partnering with large IT services companies
Ability to work with minimal fuss and supervision and quickly and efficiently resolve a wide range of complex and sensitive operational and management tasks across a matrix of business and marketing stakeholders
Excellent project management, presentation and decision-making skills and the ability to meet multiple competing deadlines across multiple projects including managing internal stakeholders and external agencies
Experience in Content Development
Client service approach to working with people; must have an understanding of business and technical audience issues
Knowledge of and exposure to emerging multimedia technologies such as Mobile, on demand and live Video, Social Media and Search etc.
Good knowledge of search engine optimisation and PPC (paid search)
Create Targeted Messaging for marketing campaigns based on use cases and type of campaign
Detail-oriented and organised with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
High level of energy and very motivated by being a brand and revenue champion for the organization
Results driven, creativity, originality and a high level of conceptual thinking
Comfortable in being held accountable to specific monthly and quarterly performance target
