Macquarie Government has over 15 years’ experience in providing Government agencies with secure, reliable and proactive hosting services. We provide secure internet gateway services to 42% of federal government agencies and are a government centric team focussed on increasing our ‘footprint’ in the Government market by providing Secure Cloud services to agencies.
About the role
As a result of strong growth and development, we have an opportunity for a General Manager to build and develop the Government Cloud business. This includes defining product, strategy and go to market approach and ensuring delivery of solutions to our customers.
You will work collaboratively with peers, including sales leaders and teams will be key to the success of this business. You are a true builder with entrepreneurial spirit.
In detail, you will:
Define and deliver the “build” strategy for Secure Cloud Business
Recruit, select and develop the Cloud team
Motivate and build a high performing team and support adoption of high performance across the Government and Cloud business
Ensure appropriate engagement with stakeholders to reflect overall Cloud solutions strategy.
Define and lead the execution of the go to market strategy for Secure Cloud product offering
Provide required training and development across the organisation to support achievement of sales and revenue targets
Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and collateral to support achievement of business results
Support customer engagements as required
Work to achieve revenue and to operate within agreed expense budgets, with accountability for the overall financial performance of the functional area
To be successful, you will have the following qualifications and experience:
Technology leadership in Cloud business
Minimum of 8+ years people leadership
Experience / involvement in direct IT sales
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of communication models for bringing products to market
As this role will focus on federal government clients, you must be able to obtain government security clearance, this means you need to be an Australian citizen.
