What will you be doing
As a Tier 2 Engineer in our Network Operating Centre (NOC) you will manage escalations from the Tier 1 team.
You will be responsible for proactively monitoring incidents for our customer managed services and proactively communicate and resolve them. You may also have the opportunity to mentor Tier 1 engineers.
Your role will entail technical diagnostics and restoration of data services, either resolving or escalating where necessary, but always keeping customers informed and up to date.
You have previous experience as a Tier 1/ Tier 2 Network Engineer
You have a good knowledge of:
the OSI model
configuring firewall and routers
Network monitoring tools and protocols (MRTG, RRD, NAGIOS, SNMOP)
