About the role 


A new opportunity for an experienced engineer/architect now exists within our busy and highly successful Federal Government and Security team. The primary function of this role is to provide design and deployment of new products to the Security Product catalogue within Federal Government. Dimensions of your role will include:


  • Writing and maintaining all processes and procedures relevant to the security product suite

  • Scheduling changes in accordance with document change control processes

  • Working closely with the Government team to ensure your clients' business needs are addressed when new products are under development

  • Working closely with our SOC, NOC (Macquarie HMC) and Service Delivery teams to integrate your products into the operations groups

  • Complex core network troubleshooting


     About you


    You are an identified expert in at least 4 of the following security frameworks/technologies with an Advanced level industry certification, IP Flow Analysis, HIDS, NIDS/NIPS, Firewalls (Cisco/Fortinet/F5), Vulnerability analysis, Security Event Correlation and Identity Management.


    Your success in this role will be based upon you having the following: 


  • At least 10+ years IT industry experience with recent hands-on design and solutions architecture

  • Strong Unix/Linux (Red Hat) and MS Windows expertise

  • Extensive and diverse technical experience across networks and multi-vendor firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet) and F5 load balancers

  • Superior resourcefulness, self-direction and initiative to gather requirements and execute

  • Advanced analytical skills, problem solving ability and commercial acumen



     You possess security clearance or are eligible for it. This means that you will need to be an Australian citizen.
